Ahmed Khan director of Bhaaghi 3 questioned the recent released Thappad

Taapsee's latest movie Thappad has been appreciated and loved by all. However, seems like Ahmed Khan is not impressed with Taapsee's movie who mentioned that he doesn't agree with the concept of movie Thappad.

Taapsee Pannu's latest movie Thappad has left our audience & Bollywood impressed. This film revolves around a slap, which breaks the marriage, whereas this film is making headlines everyone is celebrating the boldness of the film, Bhaagi 3 director, Ahmed Khan doesn't look like impressed with this concept.

During one of the promotional stints, he questioned the plot and spoke about the film.

A report in Mumbai Mirror stated that Ahmed found the concept of Thappad very strange. He was quoted saying, "I don’t understand just because the husband slapped his wife, will she leave him forever? If she has a problem, she too should slap her husband twice in return."

He also took his personal example for the justification of this and said there is nothing like breaking the marriage, if I slap my wife, she also has the liberty to slap him back. Then he again stated, "If I tell her that I don’t want to be with her anymore, then she can also tell me the same. But, will a slap decide whether a couple can stay together or not? But then, everyone has a different point of view and way of looking at it."

However, Taapsee Paanu, had the sensible reply for Ahmed and all the haters of movie Thappad. The Thappad star said she doesn't feel the need to reply back on this statement. She added, "He makes films based on what he finds correct and it is the same for us. At the end of the day, it is the audience who gives out the final verdict."

The Pink star further added that this is the audience who decides the concept is whether good or bad and Ahmed should continue doing the movie he is comfortable with, and I will continue with movies I am comfortable with.
